Please note that by contacting the Customer Service or a travel agency, service fees will be added to the price.

Groups 

If you are travelling in groups of 10 passengers or more, you must contact our Customer Service at +298 34 10 00 or send a request by filling out an application form which can be found HERE >>

Pregnant passengers

The following rules apply for pregnant passengers:

From week 0 - 33

No need to present a doctor’s certificate if you are fit to fly.

From week 34 - 37

A doctor’s certificate is required.

From week 38

Pregnant passengers are not allowed to fly.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are pregnant and expected to give birth within 2 weeks, you are not allowed to fly with Atlantic Airways. If you are expected to give birth within 6 weeks, you must present a doctor’s certificate at check-in which states that a doctor has approved the journey from a medical point of view, and only if the duration of the flight does not exceed four hours.

The doctor’s certificate must be issued within 10 days prior to departure.

Children

How much is ticket fare for children? (2-11 Y.O)

The fare for children under the age of two without their own seat is 10 % of the flight ticket fare. The fare for children under the age of 12 with a seat of their own is 50% of the flight ticket fare + taxes.

Can a child travel alone?

A child must be at least 5 years old to travel alone. Information concerning who is delivering the child and who is receiving it must be given to Atlantic Airways.  SEE DOCUMENT HERE

A flight attendant will watch the child onboard. The extra fee for this service is US$ 102 (DKK 700) pr. leg. Flight tickets for children traveling alone can only be purchased at our Customer Service or at a travel agency.  READ MORE HERE.

Online booking for infants (0-23 months old)

Infants younger than 2 years without a seat of their own are connected to the name of the first passenger listed in the online booking.

Later changes can only be made together with a name change. These changes are subject to a name change fee of US$ 29 (DKK 200).

Car seats

If you wish to bring a car seat onboard for your infant, you have to order a child flight ticket for your infant and hence pay the fare that applies to children between the ages 2-11. The car seat either forward or backwards into the seat next to yours. When you order a ticket for a car seat, please contact Customer Service at +298 34 10 00.

If you check-in your car seat it is free of charge.

Animals/Pets

Animals/Pets are not allowed on our flights to/from the United States, with the exception of service Animals.

Reduced mobility

To ensure that you get the assistance you need on the flight, the flight ticket and the assistance must be booked at the same time and no later than 48 hours prior to departure. If you book your flight within 48 hours prior to departure, we will do our best to help you. On this page you will find information on the services we can provide passengers with reduced mobility. Please read our terms and conditions.

Can I travel alone?
Most passengers with reduced mobility can travel alone with Atlantic Airways. To ensure the safety of all passengers, including passengers with reduced mobility and to avoid delay in case of an evacuation, certain passengers must be accompanied during the flight. This is a requirement in accordance with the rules for exemption as described in (EC) 1107/2006 article 4.2.

To be able to travel without a carer or an assistant you have to be able to do the following without help: 

Fasten/unfasten seatbelt

Put on lifejacket

Get out of your own seat and move towards the emergency exit without help

Put on oxygen mask

Be able to understand and follow the safety briefing from cabin crew either visually or audibly

 

Carers

A carer or an assistant is responsible for your well being during embarkation and disembarkation, your general safety during the flight and ensuring that you get the necessary assistance in case of an evacuation. The carer must be at least 18 years old and be seated next to you.

The carer cannot act as the carer for multiple passengers on the same flight..

Please note! Our airport personnel will not be able to lift you out of your seat and into your wheelchair and will not be able to assist you when you need to go to the bathroom or in the administering of medication. The personnel will be able to assist you in the preparation of a meal, but will not help you eat.

Recommendations Concerning Passengers with Reduced Mobility

To give our passengers the best possible help and in accordance with the EU Regulation 1107/2006, we must be informed of your need of assistance at least 48 hours prior to departure to be able to inform those responsible at the airport concerning the need of assistance.

Special requirements and information about the services we provide:

WCHC - Cabin

The passenger is completely immobile. The passenger requires a wheelchair to/from the aircraft and must be carried up/down stairs and to/from the seat.


It is required to book an assistant in the same WCHC reservation.

WCHS - Stairs

The passenger cannot ascend/descend the stairs but can move to/from the seat. The passenger requires a wheelchair to/from the aircraft and must be carried up/down stairs.

WCHR - Ramp

The passenger can ascend/descend stairs and can move to/from the seat without assistance. The passenger requires a wheelchair to/from the aircraft.

Visually/hearing impaired

Please inform us if you are visually or hearing impaired to ensure that we are able to provide proper assistance.

Atlantic Airways welcomes service dogs in the cabin without additional charge. Let us know if you are planning to travel with a service dog. Passengers who are both deaf and blind must travel with a carer.

Electric wheelchairs

Due to limited capacity, passengers who wish to travel with electric wheelchairs must purchase their ticket and assistance by calling +298 34 10 00.


Electric wheelchairs with acidic or wet batteries must be sent as cargo.

Oxygen

If you require oxygen to and from the aircraft or onboard the aircraft, you can bring your own oxygen without additional charge. The oxygen can be taken as checked baggage or as hand luggage.

If you bring oxygen, you must book it prior to departure and inform Atlantic Airways of the number of canisters you wil carry.

The weight of the oxygen canisters cannot exceed 5 kg. Canister and any regulator must be shock-absorbent so that it cannot accidentally release the contents in case of impacts or shocks. Please note: Liquid oxygen is not allowed onboard the aircraft.

MAAS - Meet and Assist

We will do our best to to offer this service to passengers with reduced mobility who need assistance at the airport and to the aircraft (e.g. elderly passengers, passengers who rely on crutches and other passengers with reduced mobility).

This assistance must be booked through our customer service.

Weapons

No weapons are allowed on flights to/from the United States. 

Infectious diseases

Passengers with infectious diseases are not allowed our aircrafts if we determine that the passenger poses a direct threat to the health and safety of the other passengers. Examples of infectious diseases are chickenpox, rubella, measles etc. If there are visible symptoms of disease prior to departure, the passenger is required to carry a medical certificate.

Atlantic Airways reserves the right to refuse passengers who cannot present the necessary documentation.
Atlantic Airways offers services in agreement with the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) 1107/2006, and we refer to the regulations of the rights of passengers with reduced mobility or PRM in connection to air transport.

24 Hour Money-back Guarantee on Flight Tickets

We offer our customers the opportunity to cancel their purchase within 24 hours from the time of the purchase for a full refund, however no later than three hours prior to departure.

If you have booked a flight with Atlantic Airways and have entered the wrong name, picked the wrong date or regret your purchase, you can receive a full refund if you contact us within 24 hours from the time of the purchase.

How do I cancel my ticket?

What if I wish to cancel my purchase outside of office hours (weekends or holidays) ? 

It is essential that you notify us within 24 hours. Send an email to [email protected] including the information listed above. It is the time that we receive your email that applies.
