The safety of our travelers and our staff is our top priority, and we work closely with the authorities and follow all the governmental guidelines issued in this special situation.

When traveling with Atlantic Airways

If a passenger within the last 14 days prior to departure with Atlantic Airways has been in one of the risk areas for which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs discourages all non-essential travel, he or she is asked to contact our Customer Service on tel. +298 34 10 00 for further instructions.

It is very important that you contact us if you are traveling from one of the risk areas so that we can take the necessary precautions on board our aircraft. 

NOTE: Only healthy passengers without symptoms are allowed to travel with Atlantic Airways. 

NOTE: Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions we highly discourage all unnecessary travel to the Faroe Islands until April 13th as all passengers will be instructed to quarantine for 14 days on arrival

What does Atlantic Airways do?


We take into account the potential risk of infection, which is why we make ensure extra cleaning on board our aircraft.

We ask all travelers who have been in one of the risk areas to let us know before flying with Atlantic Airways so that we can make the necessary precautions and minimize the risk of infection as much as possible.


The air on the aircraft is replaced and cleaned through a special filter which kills 99.99% of all bacteria.

We have enhanced our on-board routines to reduce the risk of infection, both when it comes to cleaning and hygiene, and when it comes to practices of our cabin crew.

Atlantic Airways will continue to operate to our destinations as long as the authorities believe it is safe. We follow the situation closely and adjust our procedures to follow the development of the situation

If you are traveling before April 30, 2020 and want to change your ticket, there will not be charges a change fee, but a possible price difference may incur.
