Dímun Island Adventure

Stóra Dímun is one of the most remote islands in the Faroe Islands, home to just one farming family – Eva and Jógvan Jón, the eighth generation to live there. With no roads or harbor, the island is accessible only by helicopter.

Upon arrival with the helicopter you will experience stunning aerial views of nearby islands like Koltur, Hestur, and Sandoy.

On arrival, you’ll take a guided walk with the farmers, exploring dramatic cliffs, learning about life with 500 sheep and various birds, and discovering the island’s thousand-year history. Highlights include views of Suðuroy and Lítla Dímun, and the steep cliff path at Kleivin, once the only route to the farm.

Enjoy warm Faroese hospitality, farmhouse refreshments, and perhaps a taste of local wine during your hour-long visit. Experience the unique charm and flavor of this unforgettable island adventure.
