Checked luggage
We recommend that all luggage is clearly labelled with the name and telephone number of the passenger. Luggage must be packed so that it can withstand normal luggage handling. This means that the luggage must be able both to withstand coming into contact with other luggage on the luggage belt and to be loaded into and out of the aircraft.
Passengers are themselves responsible for packing their checked luggage so that the contents are not damaged. Under the Montreal Convention, passengers are liable for damage caused by the airline if the luggage is improperly packed, for example if a bottle of liquid breaks and damages other luggage.
We do not accept luggage weighing more than 32 kg per piece. The weight limit does not apply to electric wheelchairs and certain other luggage that cannot be taken apart. For example diving equipment, large musical instruments or live animals in the hold.
We recommend that the items listed below are not packed in checked luggage, as we have limited liability for compensation should checked luggage be damaged or lost. Valuables such as:
Money, jewellery/gemstones, computer/equipment, gaming equipment, cameras, video equipment, mobile phone, glass and/or bottles, food (that does not keep), glasses/sunglasses, keys, work documents, identity documents, medicine and medical certificates
It is the duty of the passenger to ensure that the luggage does not contain anything that may endanger the aircraft, persons or goods on board the aircraft, or cause damage. This may include, among other things, what is listed as dangerous goods in the international regulations Mere om forbudte genstande on the website of the Danish Transport Authority, Trafikstyrelsen.
