Lithium batteries

Atlantic Airways follows IATA guidelines for the transport of batteries. All spare batteries and battery-powered devices, such as phones, computers and power banks, must be carried in your hand baggage and must not be packed in checked baggage.

You may carry batteries rated up to 100 Wh in your hand baggage. Batteries rated between 100 and 160 Wh require approval from Atlantic Airways. To obtain approval, please email bagservice@atlantic.fo. Batteries and power banks rated above 160 Wh cannot be transported by air. Personal Movement Devices (PMDs) powered by lithium batteries, such as hoverboards, solowheels and Segways, are not permitted in passenger baggage.

These items must be shipped as cargo. Electronic cigarettes may not be used on board Atlantic Airways flights. They must remain in your hand baggage throughout the journey. The same applies to electronic pipes and cigars.
